What Is E-File?
“E-file” means electric file. Our signature waterless manicures and pedicures use professional e-files and specialized bits to precisely exfoliate and remove keratinized skin without touching living tissue.
Each service is customized to the client’s nail, skin, and cuticle type by our highly trained technicians, who are educated in Anna Amelina Paraiso’s proprietary e-file techniques.
All reusable tools undergo meticulous cleaning, disinfection, and medical-grade autoclave sterilization after every service.
Is e-file manicure or pedicure painful?
No. When performed correctly by a trained professional, e-file services should be comfortable and gentle. The technique is designed to exfoliate only keratinized tissue without damaging living skin.
Why does e-file pedicure work differently from a regular pedicure?
Traditional pedicures often combine soaking and aggressive mechanical filing, such as cheese-grater-style tools, to remove hardened skin. While this can make the feet feel smooth temporarily, repeated friction and trauma can stimulate the skin to protect itself by producing more keratin, potentially contributing to thicker calluses over time.
Our e-file technique takes a different approach. We work without soaking the feet and use specialized e-file bits to precisely exfoliate only the keratinized tissue, without aggressively scraping or traumatizing the surrounding skin.
The goal isn't simply to remove calluses as quickly as possible. It's to reduce unnecessary trauma and help the skin become smoother and healthier with consistent care.
why is e-file more expensive than regular pedicure?
E-file pedicures are more expensive because they require specialized training, professional-grade equipment, and more time and precision than a traditional pedicure. The technique allows for detailed work on the nails and surrounding skin, providing a more precise, long-lasting result while maintaining professional sanitation standards.
How early should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This gives you enough time to check in and allows us to begin your service on time.
What happens if I am late?
If you are 5–15 minutes late, we may not have enough time to complete all of your booked services. We will do our best to complete as much as possible, but you will still be charged 100% for the services originally booked.
If you are 15 minutes or more late, your appointment will be considered a no-show and you will be charged 100% of the booked services.
Do you offer traditional manicures and pedicures?
Our specialty is our signature dry e-file manicure and pedicure technique. E-file services are performed without soaking the hands or feet in water and use specialized techniques developed and taught by Amelina Paraiso.
What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 48 hours before your appointment without a charge.
Cancellations or rescheduling within 48 hours are subject to a 50% charge of the service price. No-shows and appointments canceled due to being 15+ minutes late are charged 100%.
Are your tools sterilized?
Yes. All reusable bits and implements go through a meticulous cleaning, disinfection, and medical-grade autoclave sterilization process after every service.
Why does AN e-file service take longer than a regular pedicure?
E-file services involve much more detailed and precise work. Your technician assesses your nails and skin, selects specialized bits, and carefully works through each area rather than following a standard one-size-fits-all process.
